Mr. Allison serves as the Chairman of the AJC Group Board of Directors. In 1972, Mr. Allison co-founded AJC International. Under his leadership as Chief Executive Officer for more than 40 years, AJC became a leader of protein exports from the United States and the largest privately-owned protein shipper in the world, exporting from more than 30 countries to more than 120 countries. Throughout his career, Mr. Allison has visited customers and suppliers in more than 130 countries.
He has been a dedicated member of AIESEC, a student organization dedicated to global exchange programs for business students. He has served as a Board Advisor for various local committees of AIESEC over the past thirty years and was inducted into the AIESEC Hall of Fame in September 2003. Mr. Allison has been a member of the Society of International Business Fellows since 1993. Mr. Allison is a member of the Hong Kong Association of Atlanta and served as President from 2004-2007.
Mr. Allison was a Founding Director of the Summit National Bank, which United Commercial Bank acquired. He served on the Loan Committee, Audit Committee, and as Vice Chairman at various times during his 17-year tenure. Prior to founding AJC, Mr. Allison worked in refrigerated cargo sales for Sealand from 1963 to 1966 based in Puerto Rico and with Gold-Kist Poultry as Export Manager from 1967 to 1970. He has lived outside the U.S. four times, in Europe and Latin America.
Gerald L. Allison graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1962 with a BA in Economics.
Mr. Joiner serves as the Vice Chairman of the AJC Group Board of Directors. He co-founded AJC International with Mr. Allison, and served as President and COO of AJC for almost 20 years. During his time as President, Mr. Joiner led the company in its rapid expansion into China, South America, and Russia and to its position as the premier international protein provider. For ten years, Mr. Joiner was President of American Frozen Foods, AJC's Food Service Distribution subsidiary.
He also serves on the Board of Councilors for The Carter Center in Atlanta and the Board of Advisors for the Robinson School of Business at Georgia State University, where he was past Chairman. Mr. Joiner is a Trustee of the Georgia State University Foundation and is a Founding Director for the World Affairs Council of Atlanta. He is the founding Director and past Chairman of the World Poultry Foundation, serves on several Corporate Boards, and is the past Chairman of the Board of Senior Citizens of Metro Atlanta.
Mr. Joiner is a past Chairman and member of the Board of Directors of the United States Poultry and Egg Export Council. He is also a past member of the Board of Directors of the National Chicken Council and Frosty Acres Brands, Inc. Prior to founding AJC International, Mr. Joiner worked in aircraft sales with Lockheed Aircraft Corporation and in Sales Management with United States Lines.
Mr. Joiner received his BBA and MBA from Georgia State University in 1969.
As Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Allison is based at AJC's worldwide headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and is responsible for the accomplishment of AJC's Vision and Mission and all activities throughout the AJC Group of companies. He sets the strategic direction for the organization, leads the allocation of resources within the Group, and oversees the development of AJC's people, who are the lifeblood of AJC's ongoing success with customers and suppliers around the world.
Prior to joining AJC, Mr. Allison worked in marketing and brand management at Procter & Gamble. Mr. Allison joined AJC in 1997 and completed a three-year international management assignment in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Since then, Mr. Allison has assumed many of the organization's leadership roles, including General Manager, Americas and Asia, Vice President, and he served as President from 2008 to 2016.
Mr. Allison is married, fluent in Spanish, and is active in supporting his twin boy's baseball and lacrosse pursuits. He has served two terms on the Board of Trustees for Mount Vernon Presbyterian School, serving on their Strategic Planning and Capital Committees. He is active in the Miami and Harvard Alumni Associations as well as multiple philanthropic organizations.
Mr. Allison graduated Magna Cum Laude with University Honors from Miami University with a BS in Business Administration in 1992. He earned a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School in 1997.
As President and CCO, Mr. Davidman is based at AJC International's worldwide headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and is responsible for all Commercial Activities, Procurement, Operations and Transportation, and Marketing throughout AJC International. He also has direct responsibility for AJC Logistics, an independent operating entity providing food-centric Logistics Services under the AJC Group.
After working in sales at Procter & Gamble, Mr. Davidman joined AJC International in 1986. Since then, Mr. Davidman has completed two international management posts, accumulated extensive experience in China and Russia, and assumed many of the organization's leadership roles, including Director of Global Sales, Managing Director, and Vice President.
Mr. Davidman is married with two children, an avid Florida Gator booster, and an ongoing student of the game of golf. He has served on the External Advisory Board of Directors for the International Center of the University of Florida, is currently a member of the Board of Directors of the National Chicken Council, and is active with multiple international trade organizations.
Mr. Davidman is a graduate of the University of Florida, where he received his BS degree in Business Administration in 1985.
As CFO and Senior Vice President, Mr. Partington is based at AJC International's headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and is responsible for all Financial and Accounting activities throughout the AJC Group's companies worldwide. Mr. Partington led the acquisition of Eagle Logistics Services as the foundation for AJC Logistics and structured AJC's worldwide corporate organization.
Mr. Partington started his career with AJC International in March 1989 as the accounting and financial leader for AJC. He has held a wide variety of management positions at AJC, including Controller, General Manager, Puerto Rico, and General Manager, Southeast Asia, and Vice President.
Mr. Partington began with Tenneco Oil Company in 1979. His work throughout various segments of the oil industry led him to the CFO role with an oil trading company. The complex world of international oil trading built the foundation to join AJC. He is active with international trade associations and a member of the Financial Executives Institute.
Mr. Partington is married with three children and enjoys running, biking, and golf. He is a graduate of the University of Georgia, where he received a BBA degree, specializing in Accounting in 1979. Mr. Partington is also a Certified Public Accountant.
As Corporate Secretary, Mrs. Sorrels is based at AJC's worldwide corporate headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia, and is responsible for all Corporate Governance, including Legal matters and Ethics & Compliance. In her role of Director, Global Credit, she has responsibility for AJC's worldwide accounts receivable and Credit and Collection activities.
Mrs. Sorrels joined AJC in 1978. She has built a successful career in international business over the last 40 years. Through her years at AJC, she has managed various global roles, including Logistics, Documentation, and Credit. Prior to working for AJC, Mrs. Sorrels began her international trek at Universal Flavors, working in their Middle East documentation division.
Mrs. Sorrels obtained her Certificate of International Credit Professionals designation in June 2004 and her Registered Global Credit Professional in 2011. Tina is the past Chair and is currently on the Executive Board for International Credit and Trade Finance, for which she is one of the Founding Members. She is Chairman of our "AJC Cares" philanthropic employee community-involvement group. The mission of AJC Cares is to provide a platform for all AJC Group LLC employees as well as business partners of AJC to be involved in worldwide community service for life enhancement through giving time, food, household goods, clothing, and/or financial support to 501 (C) 3 corporations and employee hardship situations.
Mrs. Sorrels and her husband, Scott, have two daughters, a son-in-law, and one grandson. The Sorrels family is active in the co-ed division of the Boy Scouts of America and the World Jamboree 2019. Mrs. Sorrels attended Indiana University-Purdue University in Indianapolis and completed her studies at Mercer University of Atlanta.
